God’s House Tower in Southampton has been fitted with several Dunham Bush heating products within the Medieval building. God's House Tower is a Grade I listed, scheduled ancient monument being a late 13th century gatehouse into the old town of Southampton, England. It stands at the south-east corner of the town walls and has permitted access to the town from the Platform and Town Quay. It has served as the town gaol and housed the Museum of Archaeology.
Construction started circa 1300 and was completed in the early 15th century. Following a £3.1million refurbishment this monument reopened in September as a unique arts and heritage centre. Housing a permanent exhibition on the history of the 700-year-old building, Gods House Tower will also be home to two new gallery spaces showcasing specially commissioned contemporary art and period works from prestigious south coast collections.
Dunham-Bush worked alongside James Liston Building Services Ltd, the contractors for this project, to provide high quality products and services, specifying Dunham-Bush Trench Heating, Fan Convectors and Radiant Panels.
Series AM Fan Convectors consist of a versatile range of 22 standard models, each produced in four casing lengths and three coil types, making it particularly suitable for many applications within commercial buildings. Hydrocourse Trench Finvector provides natural convection heating around room perimeters and produces a warm curtain of air, off-setting down-draught and heat loss to ensure comfortable conditions and is suitable for operation with a pumped hot-water or low-pressure steam system. Aesthetically pleasing, the Evolution radiant panel heating is suitable for a wide range of applications particularly, but not exclusively, hospitals and educational establishments. The range consists of one, two, four and six tube panels in nominal lengths of 600mm to 3000mm, and in various tube configurations.
